God and Government

There doesn't seem to be much room in this world for Jesus Christ anymore.

Not in the halls of our government.
Not in the hearths of our home.
Not in the harbors of our heart.

Is it any wonder that God allowed the Prince of Peace to be born under such humble circumstances, knowing that from start to finish the Lord would hardly find where to lay His head.  Born in a barn, and buried in a rock His mortal sojourn was lonely and hard.

"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief"(Isaiah 53)

Thankfully, the Savior didn't let the world's rejection stop Him from accepting His role in our Heavenly Father's plan of salvation.

Is there room in your life for the Savior?

The government has found its way into your kitchen, your car, your bedroom, and your business.

Has God?

When events like Hurricane Sandy, or 9/11 occur the question is raised, "Where is God in all of this?"

I don't know many employees that show up for work after they have been fired.

Thank heavens God doesn't work for us--we work for Him.  We may have turned our backs on Him, but He has never abandoned us.  He was there in the twin towers, He is present on the Atlantic shores, and He will be there to guide and direct us through the next four years.  Of this I am sure.

I implore you these last five days of our countdown to the election to double your prayers and perspiration in behalf of our country.
