We are six days out from completing our 40 day countdown to the presidential election.
The following video is from the historian David Barton, the authoritative source when it comes to America. I hope you'll take a few minutes to view it.
Also, I wanted to refer you to a fantastic website: http://www.christianvoterguide.com
You'll find a map of our country on their homepage, and when you click on your respective state, it opens up a window that has all of the information for voting and contacting your state representatives in an easy to understand format. I bet all of us have at one point or another complained about our country's policies and programs, but how many of you have taken the time and effort to contact your representatives to make your views known? This is something I am working to change in my own life. When my state tried to preemptively implement portions of Obama-care earlier this year I wrote my representatives, declaring in unequivocal terms my feelings on this immoral legislation. Did it make a difference? I don't know--probably not. But I did my duty as a citizen to make my wishes known on this issue and it's a great feeling to know I did my part and made my leaders accountable for their actions. Personally, I am sick and tired of our society's squeaky wheels getting all the grease. Let's not allow the kingmen of our day to dismantle the power that drives this American machine forward: our Constitution. We are the fuel that drives this engine! It's high time we start tapping our natural fuel sources so that we can keep this country on the road to freedom. The price at Providence's pump is high, but understandably so. We must as the boy scouts pledge be a physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight people.
Let us not further barter our birthright for a mess of materialism. How sad would it be to fumble the football of freedom in the last quarter when the stakes have never been higher and the game is on the line. Please do all you can to exercise your rights as a citizen in promoting those people, policies, and programs that are commensurate with our Constitution.
