Bed Head Monkey

Colton's AMAZING hair defies gravity after his nap!

OH MY GOODNESS--I can't believe it either!

Aah Geez Mom, you're embarrassing me!

To eat, or not to eat-that is the question. . .
Guess we know the answer to that one.

A Call of the Wild

What was that you said. . .the tortoise had a scare?

Hi Ho, Silver, and Away!

We heard about a wildlife preserve close to Gainesville called Payne's Prairie where you can see all kinds of wildlife supposedly and specifically alligators which I have been begging Blaine to find. Sadly, the only close encounter we had was with a mosquito. As the last picture further shows, there was not much to see, but luckily we were traveling with an animal of our own. Colt, you are a wild one and we love you!

Care For Some Hair With That?

Notice he's got the 'rolling' technique down--so proud.
But of course--still has to sample everything via mouth.
Grandmas have been commenting on Colton's growing hair (he was quite the baldy the first year of life thanks to me)--and he's wasted no time in styling his newly acquired crop. This, oddly enough is Colton's favorite thing to play with and keeps him amused for hours while Mom gets ready in the morning. He even shakes the blow-dryer back and forth and has now mastered plugging it into the wall--not so good for Mom?!

Conference Campout

Blaine and Colt relaxin'.
Colton's latest thing--upside down binkie. Further motivation for me to rid him of it entirely. . .
We hunkered down for Conference Saturday and Sunday and as the pictures evidence, Colton would not have survived 8 hours of church-attended conference. Thank you BYU Channel! It was so different not to be in Idaho working during Spud Harvest on Conference Weekend and spending the duration with my fam listening to the talks--we missed both of our families a lot and wished we were back home!
