Item No. 1: The Tinkle Department
The 3.5 year old and I had a real heart to heart, and I pulled out the big guns meaning we watched an episode of Wonder Pets where a puppy needs help going 'pee, pee'. I would like to think my oldest caught the gravity of the situation because he ran in the bathroom this morning, grabbed his Potty Bear and exclaimed, "THIS IS SIH-WEE-US!" (i.e. title reference)
Does this mean he's potty-training?
Heavens no. (are you kidding me? that would be too easy. . .)
But we both agree this is serious business.

An Ode to Nemo Colton Calaway
Nemo, dear Nemo.
You were a nice fish
Orange.
And. . .You are dead.
You swam. [like a shark]
You ate. [a lot]
You pooped. [even more]
You died.
I feel guilty
I think I overfed you.
I am ashamed.

Love the underpants picture - almost looks like an insect of some sort! And the poetry . . . I'd say it's some of your finest, dear. You truly captured the emotion. How we will all miss little Nemo Colton!
I guess one way to look at it, is by wearing your underpants on your head you're not going to wet them, right?
Let's keep a positive outlook!
As far as Nemo is concerned, he probably has a lot of company in fish heaven. One of my siblings had a goldfish (I think is was Gaylene) and if I remember right, Wendy was little and could get around pretty well. We came home from school and the fish bowl had been tipped over with water everywhere, but no fish. We looked all over and came to the conclusion that she ATE THE FISH! UGGH!, what a way to go! She was too little ask her if she ate it, but there wasn't any evidence of that fish to be found.
The only poem I ever remember writing was back in 3rd or 4th grade. "Once There Was a Frog on a Log". Yes, I am so proud of my skills!
Love you and miss you and good luck on that potty training, it was one of my least favorite "Mommy Tasks".
I am sorry about your fish. Take him to Walmart and have him pick out another one for 33 cents. :) Yes we are back in Idaho. I am strugglin' right now cause we are living with his parents for a little while until our apartment complex that we are managing is done like, next month. Pray for me. I am so glad you met Steph, and her last name is Schafer! I finally remembered but by now you probably know that. Is she baptized now? Is she in a family ward? Take good care of her for me! I know you will. :) Call me soon.
What a cute picture. I miss that little guy. He is hilarious.
Farewell Nemo...
I think about you all the time! In quiet moments when the world is happening around me.... there are thoughts there that no one can see or know about.... I think of others, and what their hidden thoughts are and how we keep doing what we are doing and smiling through it.... just going on with life....sometimes it seems like the world should stop and notice.... but then I wonder if they are hidden thoughts for a reason... because its so special that no one would understand but our Heavenly Father...so we get to keep it for ourselves.... hmmm well that probably was a bunch of rambling you didn't need to hear! :) Just know that I think of you and hope your doing well! On a happy note, I LOVE the underwear pic! Classic! Little boy underwear are probably the cutest things in the world!!!
That first picture is fantastic!! Lol so hard!
We got Taedon a gold fish to go with his b-day party theme this year (in July) and that bugger is STILL alive. ha I don't know how I'm (or he) is doing it, but he has to be the longest living gold fish around. ;)
Miss and love you guys!! Happy Holidays!
