Day 1: The One I Almost Missed

Oh Colton, my dear Colton. Someday, I will tell you all about the little brother I tried so hard to bring home to you, and how you were my saving grace when I couldn't make good on that. But just for today, it is all about you my little man.

This year, I nearly missed my oldest boy turning three, and the thought of that was completely devastating to me; nonetheless, I was a momma on a mission bound and determined to spend the rest of my summer in the hospital. Alas, both of my boys decided they wanted to be June birthdays. (Kids always make you eat your words don't they!)

So even though I would have died (honestly) to be in a hospital bed, I am ironically incredibly grateful that I was present (and vertically oriented might I add, in my own home for that matter) for my big boy's important day.
