Day 29: Attitude of Gratitude

How I will spend Memorial Day Weekend:

Five weeks ago I would have said barbecuing with my husband and three year old on our deck.

Four weeks ago my doctor would have said at my second child's graveside.

Three weeks ago my specialist might have said in the NICU watching my one pound baby fight for its life.

Two weeks ago the anesthesiologist would probably have said recovering from a c-section delivery.

One week ago the hospital staff might have said I would be in the beginning stages of labor.

Instead, I get to spend it with my husband and two kiddos.

We all get to spend it witnessing a miracle.

I am so blessed. There are no words...
I think about those who desperately long for a child and cannot have one, and those who's hearts are drawn out in sorrow over a child lost. It is a privilege to lay here day after day. It is not a sacrifice--it is a gift.

His Gift
