Background: Everyday Colt chooses an animal and that's what we are for the day. All references to my offspring have to be addressed accordingly or the colloquial 'in one ear and out the other' ensues. The following discussion took place last week:
Colt: Mommy, what animal are we today?
Mom: I don't know buddy. What should we be?
Colt: Hmm. How about we be a puppy!
Mom: Great. What kind of puppy are we?
Colt: The sticky hair up kind.
Yesterday we were pigs. Today we are camels. I'm lobbying for flamingo tomorrow.
