Day 29: Trash to Treasure

I LOVE thrift sales!

They are my new favorite thing--two days of total madness have ensued since I discovered the thrill of making treasures out of other people's trash. What planet have I been on? Why am I just now figuring this out?

Sorry for the crazy rant--so I found this quilt display thinga-ma-bob for $2. Woohoo! It makes me happy. This is the quilt my wonderful nurse Kris hand-pieced and now every time I see it I think of my baby boy.

I am so grateful for momentos to remember Shiloh by. Pictures, blankets, sweet little things that confirm every time I see them that he is real--that he is remembered and loved. I had one of my nurses tell me how lucky I was--her mother had lost four babies (one set of twins and two other pregnancies) and she never even got to see the babies. Nothing. The doctors didn't even tell her if they were girls or boys. I know. I am really blessed. It could have been so much worse.

There are always treasures to be found amidst the trash that life brings us--you just have to keep your eyes peeled.
