Go Away Fay!

Outside our front door.
Blaine being the Captain Yellowstone I love and adore outfitted our Lieutenant Yosemite with his very own rain boots--pretty slick!!
Little Man admiring the new apparel--any form of footwear makes this household smile.
Mommy's present: a Colton proof gate, without which waiting out this storm would be impossible. Thank you very much!!
Wouldn't you know that we would move to Florida during hurricane season and the same year a major tropical storm would hit! The news is calling Fay an epic storm with record breaking rainfall of 24 inches in some places and devastating flooding forcing hundreds of people to seek refuge elsewhere. It has been raining relentlessly here today and our backyard is looking more bayou than before. Hopefully, as the eye of the storm stretches out the rain will subside and this storm can blow out of here.

So much devistation and loss of property is so sad to witness. The rain boots are adorable.

Oh WOW! You guys are coast to coast residence! What a cute blog and an adorable family!
Fun that you found my blog so that I can keep up on all your guys' fun adventures.
I wish that you guys could share some of your moisture with us peeps back home.... we could use some more rain and you guys wouldn't have all this flooding! YIKES...
Good luck and keep safe!

I'm glad you're safe. Are they still saying it's a "boomerang" storm and that it'll hit again?

YIKES! life in Florida is not for the faint of heart! i think that once i saw my backyard creeping up with rain water i would start crying.... but i used to start crying when i would see gray clouds in the sky. (i'm really wimpy.)
you have an adorable little family! and life next to a beach looks like it would be fantastic (when it isn't hurricane season.)

Be careful with all that rain and storms, that makes me nervous! I love the boots.
The trips to the beach are awesome! Austin wants you to find an alligator and take its picture for him, preferably Blain wrestling it! :)

I've been wondering about you. Hope it clears up soon, so you can enjoy more sun.
